Just for Nana

I've been so busy lately that I haven't had a chance to update my blog. But, here's a shot just for Nana. :) This is one of Abby's six months pictures that Jessica took. It looks 1000 times better in person. I don't have the CD yet, so we took a picture of the picture. But you can still see her cuteness!! Simply Adorable!! more to come soon

It's on my To-Do List....

Updating my blog is on my to-do list. I have several posts to make. Hopefully today I'll get around to updating it.

My first priority for the day is washing the peaches out of my hair and off my face. Abby thought today was Food Fight Day.

It's time to tell the truth!

Hello Blog Land!!

Most of you who know me, know that I need to know everything! :) Therefore, my blog is no exception. So, it's time to tell the truth. If you are a friend or a family-member or the beloved blog-stalker, tell me. Leave a Comment and show yourself! It's time to confess and I promise you'll feel better afterwards. Even if this is your first time to stop by, please leave a comment.

Yes, I'll admit it. I'm a blog-stalker too. If I read your blog, I promise I will comment on yours as well!

Just a side note, I've really been thinking of going private lately, and I need to know who all this will effect if I do so.

Still too small

I wanted to see if Abby was big enough to ride in our Umbrella Stroller. Well, she's not quite big enough yet. But she looked so darn cute, I just had to take some pictures.

"Nope, I'm not going to look at you."

"No More Pictures!"

Sippy Cup

Dr. G suggested that we start giving Abby a sippy cup to play with so that she can get acquainted with one. She's so smart. She knew right away what to do with it and held onto it with both hands. She's a genius! I really got emotional watching her sit all by herself and suck on her sippy cup. She's literally growing up before my eyes.

"Mommy, why are you staring at me and crying?"

Look how big she looks sitting up all by herself.

"What in the world!?? Water?? Are you kidding me?! yuck."

She's a Star!

Click here to watch the video that Miss Abby was in the past Sunday at Church. Precious. The video is called Joyland - iServe.

I love this girl so much!!

Her Swirl has turned into a Curl

Little Miss has a very distinguished Cow-lick in the dead center of her head. It is just precious and I love it. As her hair starts to grow more and more, the swirl has been "swirling" upwards into a curl. So so so cute!

As she was playing with her baby, I noticed that they had the SAME HAIR!!

Here they are....Best Buds!

Abby was trying to win the "who can slobber more" contest.
She won.

Here she was teaching her baby how to be flexible.

Our New Bath Toy

I had to get rid of our lounging bath mat that I used for 6 1/2 months to bathe Miss Abby. She would roll out of it before I could put two hands on her. I couldn't figure out a way to seat belt her in it, so I bought our new bath chair.

It's perfect for her and she LOVES it. She screamed in her little high pitch voice the moment I sat her in it. Just look at the joy in her face. :)

"Come on in Momma. It's fun!"

simply precious....

"Ooooohhh, water."

"This tastes good too."

Happy's Mother's Day!

Sunday was such a wonderful day. S was out of town for several days and drove all night Saturday night to be able to go to church with us on Sunday. He got in at 4am and was such a trooper all day.

We started "my" Mother's Day by going to church and watching our precious little girl "star" in a Mother's Day video. It was adorable. Hopefully I can get a copy of it and can post for Granny and Nana to see. (and all other readers of course) :)

We went out to eat for lunch, then headed to Wal-mart. (We seem to go to Wal-mart on all special occasions.) Then headed home for naps. Well, Abby and I took a nap. S stayed up and took care of Abs for me. Let me remind you that he didn't get home until 4am. So sweet of him. Now, I'm feeling guilty. But Sunday afternoon, guilt was far away and I enjoyed every minute of it.

We lounged around all day and ordered pizza for dinner. It was such a great Mother's Day. Oh, don't let me forget. Abby got me a iPhone case. Which means, (yay yay yay) I get to go and BUY an iPhone now!!! I'm so excited. I also got two precious cards from Abs. Her and her daddy picked out one and she also made me one at school.

I couldn't have asked for a better day. Thank you both so much for everything. I love you both big!!

6-9 month sleepers

I often put Abby in her "recalled" crib to get some things done in her room. This day I stood her up and she held right on. She looked so grown up to me. Especially wearing her new 6-9 month sleeper. I can't believe she's in this size of sleepers. She's still in 3-6 clothes, but she needs the length of the 6-9 sleepers with the feet.

This girl loves her mobile.

Abby's first food......Peas

Dr. G said we could start Baby Food. So we began with Peas. I think...I KNOW Abs was more excited about her new stain-proof bib.

Here we go! She loved the packaging.

The first bite. I thought I was going to lose her. LOL!! She started gagging and shaking. It was awful. And I'm a horrible mother, I sat there and laughed so hard.

This was taken during a shake! hehehee

Here's a little video of Abs eating her first Baby Food....Peas.

This one is Abby learning to say "I'm not going to eat that" in Abby style.

She loves Oatmeal and Daddy!

The next few posts will be all about food. One of my favorite subjects and a new adventure for Abs.

Oatmeal and Daddy. A perfect combination.

This video is kinda long. I was trying to capture her facial expressions as he was feeding her. But, in the mean time, I was able to capture his facial expressions feeding her. She will love watching this some day.

Our CRIB is being RECALLED!!!

Last night we were watching CBS news and they ran a story on Jardine Cribs being recalled. WHAT???!!! Then the picture they showed was OUR CRIB!! I couldn't believe it.

So, this morning, I looked it up and sure enough our model is being recalled. We should get a fed-ex package within a few days on our instructions of returning the crib and getting a voucher for a new one.

I can't believe this. I love our crib. It's black and simple. But, I don't love it enough to keep it if it is being recalled.

"We are recalling these cribs because the wooden crib slats and spindles can break, creating a gap, which can pose an entrapment and strangulation hazard to infants." www.jardinecribrecall.com.

My baby's daddy is so upset!! Not only because our crib could "strangle" our baby, BUT because now he has to put a new one together. :)

6 Month Check-up

I'm not sure why turning 6 months has been so hard on me, but it has. I guess I'm realizing that she WILL grow up on me. -sigh- But, here we are....she's 6 months old, healthy, happy, and Praise the LORD...she's sleeping more at night. Our sweet baby is just perfect and perfectly ours. We love her more than she'll ever know.

Turning 6 months is fun, until you have to go to the dr for the check-up. Here she was happy and content. The s-h-o-t-s came later. (boooooo!)

I need to get some of this paper. She loved it!
We learned that we could now start feeding her oatmeal and then try Baby Food. My sweet girl, could she really be old enough for all this?!

We also learned that we need to stop getting up with her in the middle of the night to hand her the paci. "Really?" I thought. "But how will she get it. She needs it to help comfort her." The dr seems to think that she should be old enough now to grab her paci all by herself and that she doesn't need me to hand it to her. Just one more way that she DOESN'T need me. ugh. He was killing me.

"Is she rolling over?" he asked. "No." I replied. "Well, are you making her?" What...making her. "Uhhh...no."

So we are now practicing rolling over and sitting up and handing her the paci to put in her mouth herself. He was right, she's ready. She loves sitting up and has already rolled over all by herself. And she loves playing with all her paci's. And believe it or not, she CAN put it in her mouth by herself. who knew?! ;)

My sweet sweet 6 month old little girl!

Weight: 15.2 lbs (25-50%)
Height: 26.3 inches (75-80%)
Head: 16.3 inches (25-50%)
Overall: A+

iPhone pics

I have so many pictures to post on my blog. I thought I would just start with all the random iPhone pictures taken by my family members. I think they are trying to rub it in that they have a iPhone and I don't.

These were taken a few weekends ago when Abby stayed with Nana, while I had events to work at the church.

Here's a few from Abby's Baby Dedication Lunch at Spring Creek BBQ.

Andrea took this one as she was Baby-sitting for us one day.
Such a sweet girl.
Proof that she doesn't wear a bow in her hair everyday. ;)
