Naples Trip: Part Four, the ZOO

We woke up this morning and got ready to hit the ZOO!! I just knew Abby would love it as she has such the sweetest love for all animals!

When we arrived, we quickly realized that this may not be as joyful as I had hoped. The humidity level had to be at least 94%. It was miserably hot and put us all in a not so joyful mood. I was having to ration out how much juice I was giving her. I didn't want her to down it all in one sitting and us still have half of the zoo to visit.

She actually did pretty good overall. We didn't see as many animals as we had hoped for. Like most all trips that I've made to the zoo, all the animals were either sleeping or in a nice cool shade and they wouldn't come out to see us for nothing.

One of us in our family has a fear of birds. Not this girl. She definitely didn't get that trait from him. She walked right up to this duck and tried to give it some of her juice.

Here she is again. She wouldn't leave the poor duck alone.

We decided we should take a little water boat tour to see more of the Zoo. Please remind me to never do this again. Stranded on a boat for 30 minutes, you couldn't walk around, Abby yelling at us to get her out, we were this guy's first tour......ugh...should I go on. It was terrible! I mean look at her little sweaty face, she was miserable.

The one thing that did amaze us about the Naples Zoo were the trees. This tree was HUGE. On our way out, Daddy and Abby posed for a picture for me.

We came home and Abby quickly told Daddy that she wanted to go to the Beach and to the Waters. So off we went, with a powdered donut in one hand and a bubble maker in the other.

These sand castle toys weren't as big of a hit as I had hoped for. But for $3, I think she enjoyed them.

Naples Trip: Part Three, the PIER

We visited the Naples Pier one night after dinner. It's a historical marker in Naples. It's this long pier that you can fish off of or just enjoy the sunset like us. We heard that you will most always see dolphins out in the ocean. So we headed out to see what all the fuss was about. The sunset and ocean were very pretty. But I was afraid Abby or myself was going to get "hooked" by all the people trying to fish. And these people weren't just fishing as I know it. Their rods and hooks were gigantic....I think they were trying to catch some dolphins.

Here was Abby making me nervous. She would run along the pier, but I just knew she was going to trip and fall off in the ocean and we would have to dive in after her. I think she just like the freedom of running!

Finally after being there long enough, I was able to catch a dolphin on film. They were quick. The dolphin is that black dot in the water. :) I had tons of pictures of just the water where I knew I was trying to take a picture of a dolphin and it kept going under water when my camera would decide to work.

Naples Trip - Part Two, We've Arrived!!

We woke up the next morning and headed to Naples, FL!! Our hotel room wasn't going to be ready until that afternoon so we decided to kill time and go to a public beach. Here's my little beach lover! Well, I say that but she didn't really want to go in the ocean and would not walk at all in the sand. LOL!

Our room was finally ready. We stayed at the Edgewater last year and loved it so we knew we would love it again this year. But, what they didn't' tell us was that we were not staying in the renovated side! Oh well, it worked but we now know if we ever stay there again what to ask for. i definitely had to have an attitude adjustment. :)

Naples Trip - Part One, the FLIGHT

Okay, I started working on my vacation blog from this Summer and the post is way to big to put into one post. UGH.. so, I'm having to split it up into EIGHT different posts. So, enjoy a different post each day this week! :)

I downloaded some movies and I bought Abby some "children's" headphones for our plane trip. This was the night before we left and I was testing them out on her to see if she would even wear them. She LOVED them. She wouldn't stop watching her movies on my phone. Stan even came home during my experiment and she wouldn't even acknowledge him walking into the door. Oh and yes, this is her favorite seat in our house. On top of the pillow! :)

My mom came the next day and we loaded up the car. Man, we had tons of stuff! We finally made it to the airport and through security we went. I was preparing myself to get scanned with the baby's juice that I had to bring on board. But, I was not prepared for what happened next.

I hear, "Ma'am, you're gonna need to stand here. Your shoes tested positive for explosive materials." WHAT?! I had to give Abby to Mama and let them do another scan of me and everything I own. Abby didn't know what that lady was doing with that wond thing and started to cry. It ended up being nothing. He said that sometimes fertilizer will set the alarm off and I walked outside that morning with Abby....in the grass that Stan had just mowed. Thankfully, all was clear and I got my shoes back. But, whew, What a way to start off the trip!

Here we are waiting for our plane to arrive! I would take a picture every now and then, in between me praying that she would make it through the flight. :)

On the plane, in Nana's lap. Thankfully, she found herself pretty comfy. Pillow, paci, doodle-pad, smarties, etc....she was pretty much given anything that she wanted on the plane. :)

Still relaxed, minnie, bunny, movies......again, anything she wanted, she got!

Then we finally made it to FL!!! :) She did WONDERFULLY on the flight!!! Praise the Lord!

Here we are at our first hotel. She stayed somewhere pretty close to the airport because we knew it would be late getting in. Here's my girl with her food of choice....FRUIT.

And then she turned 21 months...

She is growing by the minute. 21 months old here!!!

One of her favorite things to do is help me go and water my flowers. She knows not to pick the flowers, but will quickly grab all she can see that have fallen off the plant onto the sidewalk/grass.

Mr. Bear was along for the ride!

I'm not sure what was on her dress and from the look on her face, she wasn't either! :)

These flowers have grown wonderfully. They are almost as tall as she is now.

She had to sit Mr. Bear in the flowers while she inspected the two that she found.

These flowers were having one of their better days. They were supposed to be super easy to maintain; little water and alot of heat. Whatever! I have to beg these things to bloom. They don't look this pretty anymore.

And just when you think all hope is gone.....out comes a bloom. I thought it was dead because it was so crispy looking. But I walked out one day and found this week little bloom.

Sweet Abigirl - I've been so terrible about blogging these days, but I want to try and capture as many memories as I can for you. I'm just really slow about posting them.

I have to say, you are getting cuter by the minute. You are talking so much! It's amazing. I just sit and listen with a smile and usually agree with whatever you are saying. I don't have the heart to tell you I don't understand!

You love to count. You have made it to 15 with assistance, but will count to 8 with no problem all by yourself. It was just last month that you were counting 2-5-6-9. Now, you say them all in order. And you have two favorite shapes, the heart and circle. You love to point out all the circles and hearts that out see.

My favorite these days is before I lay you down for bed, I'll say a prayer over you. As I'm praying you start praying to and repeat Amen over and over. It truly melts my heart. I love you big girl. Know that I will always be praying for you. No matter how big you get. I love you with all my heart! - your Momma

When she was 20 months old

This was literally a month and a half ago that she turned 20 months old. She'll be 22 months in two weeks. Oh well, better late than never. And this was the first time that I forgot to grab Mr. Bear. Man, my pregnancy brain hasn't been the best lately. Most of you have already seen these, but enjoy away.

All the sudden I wasn't as funny. LOL!

I love this one. Abby is trying to take the picture herself and Christopher is just chillin' in the background. :)

20 months old!!

Baby Girl #2 has a name......

Most of you already are aware of this, but for the blog, I had to post it! Coming to see us this October.....

Macy Kate Wagnon

We love her name and hope that you do too!! We choose Macy because it has four letters like Stan, Jill and Abby AND because we both thought it was a super cute name that you don't hear much. Kate is somewhat of a family name....kinda. My mom's name is Kathy, my sister is Andrea Kay and my grandmother on my dad's side is Katie Bell. So, it's a name that goes with the "Ka" theme. Plus, we just liked it! :)

II Corinthians 10:4 says, "The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds." Macy means "weapon" in the baby name book. Jessica reminded me of this verse when I told her that Baby Girl's name was Macy. That verse puts a whole new meaning to the name Macy for me. Kate means "purity" in the baby name book. I really feel that God is knitting together in my womb a Godly woman that is going to follow and love Him with all her heart. And I feel so lucky that He has chosen us to be her parents.

Sweet Sweet little Macy: Oh how I LOVE you already. You are so precious to me. With each little kick and turn you make, you are reminding me of how you are quickly growing inside and before we know it, you'll be in my arms. I can't wait for that moment......actually, I can. I'm no where near ready for your arrival. I'm sad to say that really the only thing that I've done in preparation for you arriving is naming you and buying the crib and dresser. I promise to get on it though!

I hope you will soon learn how much you are loved out here. Abby and I talk about you everyday while Daddy's at work. She doesn't really believe me that you are living inside of me, but oh how she loves babies. She'll say, "sooooo pretty" or "ahhhhh cute" when she sees one. She's also quick to say, "Shhh nite nite" if she sees one that is sleeping. Speaking of that, that is one thing that I'm praying for often these days. That you will sleep and eat like a CHAMP. I don't want you to learn any of Abby's old habits. That girl wouldn't do either.

Your Daddy said the other day that he thought you were going to be the more "princess" one of the group. We shall see. I'm not exactly sure he's gonna know what to do with himself with us girls, but I know that he's gonna love every minute of it. Just be prepared to watch the Rangers every night, learn how to throw a ball and even if you try to hit a ball with a stick, be prepared for him to critique your golf stance.

We can't wait to meet you face to face sweet girl. I'm so sorry that I haven't written more letters to you in this blog, but I've written so many to you in my heart, it would take years to write them all down. We love you big time!! love, your mommy
