Easter Basket and Eggstravaganza

We had our Easter Egg Hunt (THBC Eggstravaganza) at our church this past weekend, so I went ahead and let Abby open her Easter basket. Actually, she's already played with the Cabbage Patch Bunny several times, but she didn't remember. The baby looks black in these pictures, but she's really white. Not that I wouldn't buy my baby a black baby. lol!!!!

She hugged and kissed her "new" baby.

Although she loved the baby, she loved the fake grass more!

But the Bee was her FAVORITE! She carried it with her all day.

Here we are at our church ready to hunt our eggs. Well, she was doing here what she came to do. Walk as fast as she can away from us!!

This was before Abby's age Egg Hunt....or Egg Gather. I mean really, how do you possibly hide 11,000 eggs?! You don't. You just throw them all out and say go for it! :)

Once she saw all those "balls" she was ready to get down.

Here we go. :)
She knew right away what to do! After she would put an egg in her basket, she would start clapping! so sweet. Oh, and I forgot to tell you that Abby refuses to walk on grass. She is just way to cautious for that. So, she would not walk around and get the eggs. I had to put them in front of her and then she picked them up. :)

More eggs. She had to sit down for this one.

After she put about 8 eggs in her basket, she was finished and ready to get out of that grass!

Here's Caden during his Egg Hunt!

We had to wait an hour before Drew's hunt started so we tried to take a Grandkid Picture.

And then we tried again. :)

I couldn't believe what I was seeing here. Our "little" Drew was watching after Abby. Is he really old enough to watch over her???!!?

We had a great day with our family!! Stan has been gone for a week now and we were getting bored with ourselves. After the egg hunt we went out to eat, then Wal-mart (of course), then to the mall for Easter Dress shopping for Abs. Once we got home, we (especially me) were exhausted. We took a nap and woke up energized and missed our family as they had gone home!. :(
Thanks for coming to see us at the Eggstravaganza!!!

173 beats per minute

That's what I heard today.

Yep, you're thinking it. :) We joyfully announce that we are expecting another baby on October 24th!! I know that it may seem early to some to be announcing this as I'm only 9 1/2 weeks along, but we've held the secret long enough. :) Pray with us as we prepare our hearts to grow AND as we pray for a healthy, happy baby. :)

God has been so good to us and we are so excited to share this news with all of you...our friends and family!

Our new PJ's

Abby's Aunt Andrea gave her the cutest PJ's. Just had to get a few photos of them for Nana!

Look at the sweet little curls in the back of her head. I'm afraid with her first haircut, those curls will be gone! :(

This is the game we have started to play before bedtime. The "I'm gonna run out of the room and wait for you to catch me" Game

Mommy usually just sits there and doesn't play the game. So, she'll come back and try to get me to chase her again.

Thank you Aunt Andrea!!!

17 months old!!!

Oh my, another month has passed us by. Another month gone. :( Here she is....our little 17 month old baby girl!

We went outside to take some of our 17 month pictures and so that you can see what's left of our Spring Snow! It was so crazy. We got at least 6-7 inches. I thought I would kill two birds with one stone here. Again, I'm a few days late at these, but that's the story of my life these days.
It's impossible to get her to look at the camera!

She is so cautious at walking. She is very careful at walking on the sidewalk, especially as she crosses the sidewalk seams. She just inches over them. :)

Snow!

We went back inside and took a few more pics. She loves the bear so much, especially his nose!!

Here she was looking at the TV telling me to put in Veggie Tales.

My sweet big girl!

At least one of them has learned to smile at the camera.
Thank you Mr. Bear!

This was funny. She was telling the bear to say "Cheeeese."

Then she decided to start saying "cheeeeeese". We were in the waiting room of the dr's office and she grabbed my camera and was walking around saying "cheeeeese" and pointing the camera at everyone else waiting. She's our little entertainer!

Abigirl!! - You just won't stop growing, will you?! It's so amazing to watch you. You are always putting on a show. You love to sing and dance along with your movies and love it more when you realize that we are watching you. With putting on that show has come in recent days, the fit throwing episode. Oh my, your daddy and I last night weren't sure where our little Abby went. This girl that didn't want to go to sleep went crazy on us. Both of us locked ourselves in your room to try and calm you down and we think you really thought you were going to crawl out from under the door and escape. Finally, all was better and our sweet girl crawled up in my lap. But, whew, for a second there we were wondering what in the world happened to you! LOL!

You love writing these days. Give you a pen, marker, highlighter, crayon...anything that writes and you're not supposed to have and you will be happy for at least 30 minutes or so. You love to draw. It's so cute too when you put your right hand on the paper and with your left hand try to trace it. We aren't sure, but we think you may be left handed. You eat, write and grab everything with your left hand. Daddy says that girls who are left handed are usually really good at volleyball. Who knows?! I'm sure if you end up right handed he'll have another sport ready lined up for you to play! :) You've been sick alot this month, but we are praying that God heals your little ears and we get our sweet, healthy, happy baby back soon!!

Love you sweet girl. I can't believe in one month, you'll be 1 1/2 years old!!!! love you - your Mommy

Headed to Fairfield

Since Abby started saying, "Abby Jewel" last week, I thought it would be great to start Spring Break with a trip to Fairfield to see Granny Jewel, my sweet Granny whom she was named after.

She had fun with Aunt Retha riding around in the wagon.

It was a spur of the moment trip and was so good to see everyone. We can't wait to go back!!

Trip to Bartlesville

Stan had his Conference Basketball Tournament in Bartlesville and Abby and I went to see him. He had been gone a long time and we missed him dearly. The original plan was to fly, but a double ear infection decided for us that the best thing to do was pack up and drive the 5 hour trip! Overall she did great, the last hour was pretty tough though.

Two hours into it, this was what I found in the back seat.
A sleeping baby......precious.

Here she was walking around like she was 'big-time'. Notice her ALL ACCESS pass around her neck. One of the perks of knowing the Commissioner, ALL ACCESS.

Then she felt the need to go and inspect all of the banners Daddy had made. She would walk by each one and slap it. I think she was testing the durability. Oh, and yes, that's my purse again. :)

Then she had to go by the merchandise booth and see how the volunteers were working. She couldn't believe they had nothing in her size to sell her.

And her favorite, she went by the Pom-Pom stand. Not to get a Pom-Pom, but to take them ALL out of the box and leave Mommy to pick them all up!!

This was her the whole time, on the move!

Then the moment we couldn't wait to see, Daddy passing out the tournament trophies!! We were so proud!

I looked down for a second to grab Abby and missed the shot of him giving the winning team the trophy. Oh well, it all happened so fast. At least we were there!

We headed back Sunday and Abby pretty much watched her movies and cuddle with her new bunny the whole time.

We had a fun time on our little road trip. It was so good to see Daddy. He had worked so hard on this tournament and it was great to see people enjoying themselves. We are so proud of him and thankful he works so hard for us. :)

16 months old......a little late!

I thought I would post alot of pictures of her 16 month since it's been so long since I posted last. I'll try and do better this week. We've been battling sickness and busyness all at the same time.

On Feb 19th, she turned 16 months old!!

Granny sent her these adorable leggings for Valentine's day. We had to wear them immediately. I didn't have any blue little panties to match, so we wore pink!

Of course, the moment you pulled her skirt down, she would hike her legs right up. Her daddy made the decision in that moment that she was NEVER wearing that skirt again! :)

Here she wasn't pleased with this statement.

She got over it quickly and had to give her bear some love!!

She gives the best hugs.

Here was Stan's attempt to pull her skirt down.
Look at her face. LOL!!!

And as soon as he took a step back, there she went with the legs up in the air! LOL!!!
Sweet Girl - Oh how you've turned into the little toddler. You've started counting these days. Two, three and five are your favorite numbers. If I ask you how many of anything, you say it's two. So sweet. You've also started sleeping with a pillow. We thought this would help with your ears, but unfortunately, you've still been sick. :( A couple of my favorite things you've been doing is growling in frustration over something and fisting your hands and saying "yes" when you are excited. It's seriously the cutest thing I've ever seen. You are such the big girl these days. You like to walk to your classroom at church all by yourself and you prefer to carry your own purse!! Your vocabulary is growing day by day. My favorite is when you point to me and say "ma-ma" (you called me da-da forever) and then point to yourself and say "Abby". And you like to look at all the pictures in the house and tell us who they are....Da-Da, Ma-Ma, and Abby. You pretty much have a 1-3 chance of getting the right answer each time. :) You've learned the sign for "please" and you do it to me all the time. You melt my heart. We love you so much!! love, your Momma
