Polka Dot Love

She loves to look outside.

This is one of her many faces she'll make.
It's like she trying to whistle.

She looks mad here, but she's not. She saying "giggle-giggle-giggle".

My new camera shines an orange light then flashes before the picture takes. Once she sees the orange light, she turns her head. ugh.....

"Nope, not gonna get me."

"Okay, I'll look, but I won't smile."

Love this face!

My sweet angel. I've been fixing Abby's hair a little different lately. Don't worry, the swirl will forever be apart of her sweetness. But, it is finally long enough that I can somewhat hide it with a bow.

She melts my heart.

See....told you. Here's the swirl. :)
This was Abby right before bed.

Side profile.

I love this picture. She was watching one of her favorite commericals, the TXU one where the people are holding up the poster boards.
Do you love her legs as much as I do?!!?? :)

10 months old!!!

Oh my gracious sakes.......is this really true?

Yes, I'm afraid it is. She is TEN months OLD! Time has just flown by. Even in these pictures she looks all grown up. We had to take them in her rocking chair because her crib was recalled and the new one is still in the box. :)

"Mommy, make sure my friend is in the picture."

"Hay Frend"

She's such a big girl.

Dear my sweet screaming Abby:

You have grown up so much during this past month. I think more so than any other month. I know that isn't possible, but it definitely feels like it. You started crawling this month!! And oh my goodness, you are all over the place. I will go into another room and all the sudden I feel two little hands on the back of my legs. It's you. :) You always have this really proud look on your face when you find me too.

You are even starting to pull up to a standing position all around the house. Pulling up on the TV is your favorite. You've let go several times and I get a sick feeling in my stomach every time. Not because I'm afraid you will fall, but because I know it will be no time before you are walking. :(

You love to blow strawberries with your lips and clap your hands. You try to clap your hands as loud as possible, but nothing is a loud as that SCREAM. mercy me. That scream. Whew. It's truly is 6 octaves higher than a normal scream. I've tried to teach you "no" in sign language and you just continue to scream or eat my fingers, whatever is convenient for you at the time.

Oh sweetheart. You have two little teeth. Just another little reminder of how your "baby" side is going to grow up on me. You've started clicking your tongue lately, it's one of the cutest things I've ever heard. AND, you growl and breath really fast and heavy out of your nose, like a bull. You even scrunch your nose up at the same time. It's hilarious. You must have learned those two things from the boys at church.

I've taken you swimming by myself a couple of times. I would hold on to you like crazy for the fear of you drowning in the water. You would just sit there and let me. Thank you for loving me back in your own special little way. You are definitely my little sweetheart! I love you big time! - your Mommy

Oh my....

While I'm working at the computer, I had her in my lap. It wasn't long that I realized she was awfully quite.

Yes, she was eating a pen.

the bow

I have the hardest time these days getting Abby to keep her hair bows on. It makes me so sad because she looks soooo cute in a bow. But, she just HATES to wear them anymore. Here's a picture from a week a go and our hair bow battle.

"Momma, I'm taking this off!"

"But Momma, I HAAAAATE it!"

Look close and you can see she even broke out the tears on me.

How sad is this face? I almost gave in at this point....

but instead, I gave her the remote and she forgot all about the bow.

Where is Abby?!!!

How do I lose my child in my own house? I just left the room literally for 10 seconds and I come back and she is no where to be found. I panicked for a moment, but then heard her in kitchen.

She had crawled underneath the kitchen table between the legs of the chairs. Whew...but how in the world was I going to get her out?! When I would say "come here Abby" she would just sit and laugh.

She definitely keeps me on my toes!

Here's a little video as I captured her and we headed to change her diaper. I thought I was going to get a video of her saying "tickle-tickle-tickle-tickle" but as you can see, she thought screaming was better.

Garage Sale Elmo

Two Saturdays ago we had a family day doing fun "family" things. We got up, walked to Einstein's, had breakfast, walked through our neighborhood, went home, went to the pool, grilled out.....it was fabulous. I'm sure we also watched golf and baseball here and there, but I don't really remember that part.

When were walking through our neighborhood we found this Garage Sale. The find of the day was this Elmo for only $1. I thought it would be a "Tickle Me Elmo" but as I put batteries in it, I soon learned otherwise.

Yummmm Yogurt!!

Abby's first attempt at eating Yobaby Yogurt. She would dive into the spoon for the next bite. :) She loved it.

Dinner with Claudia

I've so missed my friend Claudia. She moved away to Brazil right before Abby was born. She was in town for our friend Britt's wedding and we got together one night for dinner.

I mean...this little boy is just precious. I think he speaks like 4 different languages, but Abby didn't care. She was talking to him in her own special way....the scream.

Here she goes again. I can hear the ringing in my ears as I look at this picture.

Here he was loving his Tex-Mex fajitas.

Abby preferred to eat her lid.

He would get up and run and run. He was loving hiding from Claudia too.

Two new friends.

We had to take the group shot in front of the gum ball machine because that was where Nicholas kept running off to. :)

Miss you Claudia - Thanks for spending the evening with Abby and me.

Watching Mickey

Uhhh...Abby. You're a little close.

This girl loves Mickey Mouse. Look how tall she's getting.

She'll crawl away for a second, then quickly realize that Mickey is still on.

She's crawling all over the place and pulling up on everything. Here's just a quick video of her crawling.

Lunch with Caleb and Niki

We had lunch a few weeks ago with Niki and Caleb. This little piece of handsome was flirting with my Abby the whole time. AND, she couldn't keep her eyes off of him either!

This is the face of a boy waiting to eat! :)

Our conversation went like this......"Abigirl, don't stare sweetheart."......

"I'm not Momma, my eyes are closed."

Group shot.
Look at Abby's face. She can NOT believe I'm holding another baby!

Caleb and his Momma

Abby is telling Caleb how she eats her puffs with only two fingers. Caleb is like "Why? It's more fun to eat as many as you can at once with your whole hand."

I think Niki had a puff in her hand here. Abby wants it and Caleb is trying to crawl out of the chair to get it for himself.

And this is the face of a little boy who ran out of puffs to eat. :(

Niki and Caleb, we love you guys so much. We MUST have lunch again soon!
