6 month picture

Today we are 24 weeks, 6 months!! I asked S to take my picture this morning at 6:45am. Needless to say he was more than thrilled to assist in this blog update....ummm, not really! We only got one shot because my camera died and it's NOT the winning photo. Oh well, here it is. I'm not sure what is going on with my eyes and hair....but just ignore those parts.

Hey Baby Girl!!! - Goodness, you are moving around so much lately. I love feeling you. I often wonder though, are you moving around so much because you are uncomfortable or just because? I feel you the most in the mornings when I wake up, I guess you are just waking up too, and in the evenings when I get home from work and need to lay down. I'm not sure if you want me to lay down, either way, it's the neatest feeling in the world. It's so sweet. Your daddy felt you for the first time last Wednesday. I know that it was just as special for him as it was for me.

I have picked out the decor for your room. It's little red lady bugs. I hope you like it. I went with your Aunt Andrea (which will be a mouthful to say as you get older) and cousin Caden and registered some this past weekend. There's no tellin' whats on that registry, because Caden went a little nuts with the registry gun and was scanning away.

There's so much to do before you arrive. I hope that I get it all done. I'm going to have a garage sale next weekend to try and sell things that are currently in your room. I need to clear out some things to get ready for you. Hopefully it'll be a success. Well, we only have 4 more months to go until we get to hold you. We are so excited! We love you sweetie!! - love, your momma & daddy

Here's her room

Well, not really "her" room, but this is what the bedding will be. It's little red lady bugs with some pink and green mixed in. It's so sweet and not too "buggy" for Stan!

23 Weeks

I'm feeling much better today. I started not feeling good on Sunday and ended up at the dr.'s office Monday morning. I diagnosed myself with strep throat before I even walked into the office. I was secretly hoping that they would just listen to me and not perform the actual strep test. I was wrong. Not only did she do the awful strep test, but she also had to take blood from BOTH arms. It was traumatic. Results came and I did not have strep, but had a bacterial infection and was anemic. To me, this sounded worse than my diagnoses. I'm doing much better now. I'm on an antibiotic and trying to eat more red meat. Which I would never dream was an issue as the Cheeseburger has always been a friend of mine and Chicken Fried Steak is becoming my new BFF.

The baby is doing great. I think I am going to start registering very soon. I'm trying to make a list of everything that I know I want so I don't forget to register for these things. I know once I get inside of Babies R Us I'll go nuts with that little registry gun. YaY!!

Please pray for my sweet husband when you read this. We found out that Stan's grandad passed away this morning. The services will be this weekend. He left us with an amazing legacy that will be forever treasured.

22 Weeks and 3D sonogram

We are 22 weeks today!! Only 18 more to go. The "more to go" number keeps getting smaller. And my list of things to do seems like it is growing. I've been looking for bedding and furniture. Man, can you say "EXPENSIVE!!!" I think I have found the bedding that I like, but I'm still keeping my options somewhat open. As soon as I'm for sure, I'll post a picture of it. Then that's only TWO things off of the checklist....then there is everything else that you have to get.....overwhelming. I'm a little stressed, but hopefully it'll all fall right into place.

The baby is doing great! I'm getting so big! I just keep looking at myself in the mirror and saying, "I'm only going to get bigger!" I meant to post another picture of my belly just so that you could see how much I've grown in two weeks. I'll have to have S take it for me tonight maybe.

We had our 3D sonogram today. It was so sweet to see her again. But the little sweetie would NOT be still for any pictures. It was not a productive photoshoot at all, but at least we got to see her move all around. We kept hearing the sonographer say, "There's her arm, oh...there's a foot, oh..well, there's the other leg, there's the hand again, oh she's moved again...her head is here now"...it was funny. She did NOT want to be still for nothing! And preferred to not look at the camera and show her face. The sonographer tried to measure her head and little baby girl Wagnon would not let her. She kept moving around so much, it was like she just knew that we wanted her to be still for a second. :) I think she was a bit frustrating to the nurse and sonographer, but we loved it! The nurse tried to move her once and the little sweetie just sat there and Yawned!! She was over it!! LOL! So we ended our photoshoot on that note. so sweet.

Here's a couple of pictures of her. They aren't the best, but maybe you can see her some. The first one is a profile shot with her foot sticking up in the air. And the second is a 3D with her hands over her face and her feet pulled up to her chest.

Never too old for a Bday party!

July 5th was Grandma CoRene's 90th Bday!! We had a little party to help her celebrate another year. It was a great time to visit with family and enjoy some cake and ice cream. Here she is opening up one of her many presents. Aren't presents fun?!

Grandma rescued a little kitty recently. She named him Lucky, or at least we think he is a he! :)

Mackenzie is showing Grandma how to use her new little kitty toy. We had to intervene once as she got a little aggressive with the wand and out of love, whacked at the kitty.

I love this picture! Look at Mackenzie's sweet little face. She would intentionally look at the wrong camera each time!

We had such a great time! Happy 90th Birthday Grandma!! We love you!

21 weeks

Well, today we are 21 weeks along and we only have 19 more weeks to go. We are more than half way there! I have been feeling the baby move more and more. It's such a weird feeling too. It literally feels like something is moving around in there. All is going pretty good. My dr has put me on "partial disability" due to my tailbone issues. I'm only allowed to work 30 hours a week. So, we are trying this to see if it helps.

Check back later, I'll be posting some pictures from our 4th of July weekend in Edmond!

PS. Happy Birthday Granny Crouch!!

Conversation with Drew

Drew: Jill, how'd that baby get in there? (pointing to my belly)

Jill: God put it there.

Drew: God or Jesus?

Jill: Ummm....God.

Drew: Oh, okay.

(I quickly changed the subject. I thought I'd let Andrea and David explain the Trinity at that point. You just never know what the next question will be. Especially from a 7 year old, who has a mental picture of God being Morgan Freeman in Evan Almighty.)

5 Months!

Here's my 5 month picture. I've been getting emails about wanting to see more pictures of my growing belly....trust me, in real life..you can't miss it! Here we are!

Here's another picture of our little girl. I took a picture of our sonogram pictures with my camera because I couldn't get the scanner to work. Maybe you can see this one a little better than the one from last week. This is a close-up picture of her profile. She's laying on her back. From the right to left...you see her forehead and nose (S thinks she has my nose), then her lips and chin, then her little chest. At the bottom left you can see her spine. so cute. If still can't see her, tilt your head to the right and try again. If you STILL can't see her, then call me and we can arrange for you to see the real sonogram pictures, or you'll just have to wait for 19 more weeks! :) I could look at these little pictures all day! We go on July 16th for my 3D sonogram, I can't wait for that one!!
I got an email from Aunt Cille (pronounced Ain't Seal) this morning. She told me that Wendi, my cousin, told her two little girls, Peyton and Landry, that we were going to have a baby Girl. Landry was so excited!! Wendi told her that I haven't had the baby yet and this confused Landry a bit. She asked, "How do they know it is a girl then?" Wendi said, "They scanned her stomach and it shows her picture of her." Landry said "She must have a little curl on top of her head".......Wendi said "I'll bet you are right."

Last night of wonder

Hey sweet baby! I'm just sitting here thinking about you and waiting for your daddy to get home. I couldn't go with him to Bible Study because I'm not feeling well. I just take it as little reminders that you are growing away. The time has come; tonight will be the last night that your daddy and I will have to wonder if you are a boy or a girl. :) I've had so many people come up to me and say what they think, but only you and God know at this point. And that's pretty special to me. Some have asked if I was going to wait and let you surprise us with your gender.....I've said each time, "Are you Kidding me?!" That has NEVER crossed my mind. There is no way that I could wait that long. I have to start planning and getting everything ready for your arrival. There's so much to do. The poll on my blog says that the majority of people think you will be a girl....you will just have to tell us if they are correct.

You are growing so much and we are so proud of you. I'm feeling you move around more and more....or at least I think it's you, something is definitely going on in there. We are so excited to get to see you again. The last time that we got to see you was about 13 weeks ago and we couldn't tell much but that you were working that little heart of yours. How thankful we were to see that. Psalms 139:13 says that God is knitting you together in my womb. I'm so thankful that He picked my womb for you to call your home for the time being. I love you sweetie and I CAN'T wait to see you tomorrow!- your Momma
