105.3
This is what happens when you go to the ER with a fever of 105.3. They make you wear a mask.
He's much better now. Turns out it was just a virus. A virus that he probably received from Little Miss. ;)

Fairfield Christmas
And she's ready!!
We went to Fairfield for our annual family Christmas. Little did I know that I've found my new favorite babysitter, my cousin Peyton. She is wonderful. I'm not sure of her hourly rates, but I definitely need to check into it!
Abby just opened a birthday present and was sitting quietly in my Uncle's arms.
And if you are 3ft and under and you have been in our family for a while, you have probably rode the family bus (as Drew called it when he was little). You just hop on and the bus will make a couple of laps around the room and if you are lucky, you may get to honk the horn. Here's Abby on her ride. She's just realized that there's not enough room for Pops too. :(
Here's Lap #2.
Thanks Aunt Cille for driving the babies around. :)
This is Abby Jewel's Granny Jewel!

Her first Gift Exchange
Abby and Christopher had their first gift exchange. Abby got Christopher a "My First Christmas" ornament and a pair of darling cowboy boots. And Christopher gave Abby her first slinky and a precious lollipop ornament for her tree. (of course she has her own tree in her room!!) :)

She actually loves this ornament, even though she doesn't look like it. Here she looks like she is trying to find the price tag. LOL!!

And he found them!
Christopher dove right in!
So did Abby. They both acted like they open presents all the time. They are so grown up!

Christopher has a Pops too and I KNOW his Pops will love these little boots.
Ignore his bed head. Both he and Abby just woke up from their naps right before we started opening gifts.

You KNOW you've done this before....
Who hasn't licked the Cool Whip lid? I was making a dessert the other night and gave Abby a little bit of Cool Whip. She LOVED it! So I just gave her the lid and she went to town. :)
Yes, she never touched the green beans and mashed potatoes. And after Cool Whip, who would?

The B-I-B-L-E, yes that's the book for me.
Talk about sweetness!!! Oh my goodness. The first time I saw this, I thought I was going to cry. Abby will go and find her little Bible and bring it to Stan for him to read it to her. She will usually let him read it for a while, then she'll start turning the pages and grabbing it and turning it upside down. Stan's a trooper and just keeps reading what he can. :) It's so cute.

"Mommy, why do you always take my picture!"

14 months old!!!
Here we go, another month goes by. Little Miss is now 14 months. We went to Fairfield on her "monthly" birthday and I forgot to take her picture with her bear as she was all dressed up. But nevertheless, after bath time, we had our little photo shoot in front of the Christmas tree.

Abby, where's your hair?

Abby loves our tree. She loves all the lights and ornaments. When you plug the lights in, she'll say, "Oh Wow!"

Here she is examining it, "gently" we say over and over.

I love this one too. She loves the gold snowflakes. Notice the sweet little pic of her from last Christmas. She was so so tiny then. :)

He Hee He......She doesn't even look like herself here. She's giving the camera the "new look". This is the "leave me alone" look.

Dear Sweet Abby:
As you would say, "Oh Wow!" time has FLOWN by. You simply amaze me more and more each day. One of your biggest changes this month was the transition to your big girl car seat. It makes both me and you sad to see you in it. You look like such the little girl and you get sad because you can't recline back and go to sleep. But you finally reached 20lbs and you (length wise) had out grown your other. You still haven't started walking. You've taken 5-6 steps towards us and I caught you this week walking to one of your toys. I'm pretty confident that you can do it, so I'm not worried at all. But I will admit that a part of me wants to keep you my crawling little baby and that's just one more thing that you'll eventually grow out of. Meal times have been challenging for us lately. Your menu of choice seems to only be strawberries, blackberries, goldfish, cheerios and blueberry muffins. I'm hoping that I'll keep my patience and you'll eventually add items to your list of favorites. As I told you tonight, I love you my angel forever and ever. I will always love you!! My sweet girl. Love, Mommy

She is so in love with Mr. Bear.

Oh, and she definitely loves the ribbon. I've put this back on the tree SEVERAL times.

Missing Puzzle Piece
My mom gave Abby this super cute puzzle. It has animals in it and she loves for you to say the sounds the animals make as she picks up a piece. I noticed that the horse had been missing for a couple of days. Not too worried because I knew it would turn up somewhere. Sure enough, it did. When I found it, I sat and smiled, yelled for Stan and went to grab my camera. Like a little squirrel, she hid it away for a rainy day. So so sweet, there it was along with two balls and a DVD. I know there will be many more moments of her hiding things, but this was definitely a first for us.

Here's the puzzle with all the pieces intact.
